Biography:

K. Manikandan, a multifaceted talent in the Indian film industry, excels as a writer, actor, and director primarily in the Tamil cinema. Rising to prominence as the runner-up in a popular reality comedy show, he ventured into radio as a charismatic Radio Jockey, simultaneously lending his voice to films and TV shows.

Manikandan made his mark as a writer with “Pizza II: Villa” (2013) and transitioned into acting with notable roles in films like “India Pakistan” (2015) and “Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum” (2016).

His versatility extends to antagonistic roles in “8 Thottakkal” (2017) and memorable contributions to acclaimed films such as “Vikram Vedha” (2017), “Kaala” (2018), and “Sillu Karupatti” (2019). In 2021, Manikandan received critical acclaim for his role in the film “Aelay.”

Adding to his repertoire, Manikandan directed the independent film “Narai Ezhuthum Suyasaritham” (English Title: “Endless”), earning recognition at the Bengaluru International Film Festival (2016) and the 16th New York Indian Film Festival (2016).

His notable performances continued with the character Rajakannu in “Jai Bhim” (2021) and a lead role in the audience-favorite “Good Night” (2023).
