Johnkutty

Biography:

Johnkutty is an Indian film editor who works in the Malayalam film industry. He began his career in 2000, editing television shows, starting with Munshi on Asianet. In 2001, he joined the Kerala State Film Development Corporation as a non-linear editor. Over the years, he edited several Malayalam television serials, including Sumangali and Jagapoga, and also worked on a few documentary films for the Kerala Public Relations Department. Additionally, he edited 13 episodes of Tenali Raman, produced by Toons Animation for the American channel Cartoon Network.

After three years, Johnkutty moved to Chitranjali Studio in Thiruvananthapuram, where he worked as an associate editor. He later became the head of the editorial department at a devotional channel and worked on several films. In the following years, he took on roles as both a spot editor and associate editor. During this time, he worked as an assistant editor on films such as Achuvinte Amma, Makalkku, Photographer, Ore Kadal, Rithu, Madampi, Pokkiri Raja, Kaaryasthan, Seniors, and Traffic. His debut as an independent editor came with the 2012 film Mayamohini, and he also worked on Vaathil.
