Biography:

Ananya Chatterjee, an Indian actress, appears in Bengali films. Her act in Abahoman earned her a National Award.  She started with TV acting. She starred in several TV series and films, including three directed by Anjan Dutt. Her portrayal of a married director’s muse in Rituparno Ghosh’s Abahoman earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress. Raised in Kolkata, Chatterjee studied at the G. D. Birla Center and passed the Class 10 board exams in 1994. Chatterjee studied microbiology at Jogamaya Devi College, an undergraduate women’s college connected to the University of Calcutta.
