Biography:

Jai Sampath, an Indian actor and musician in the Tamil film industry, has had a diverse and evolving career. Born into a family of musicians and the nephew of noted composer Deva, Jai initially appeared in a supporting role in the 2002 film “Bhagavathi.” Despite being part of a film family, he chose to earn his place in the industry based on talent rather than familial connections. His acting career faced initial challenges, with some unreleased projects and a period of setbacks.

However, Jai’s breakthrough came with the 2007 film “Chennai 600028,” directed by Venkat Prabhu, where he played a leading role. The success of this sports film marked a turning point in his career. Subsequently, he gained acclaim for his role in “Subramaniapuram” (2008). Over the years, Jai continued to build his career with diverse roles, including in films like “Engaeyum Eppothum” (2011) and “Raja Rani” (2013), which became a significant commercial success.
