Biography:

G. P. Vijay kumar, popularly known as “Seven Arts” Vijayakumar, is a prolific Indian film producer with an extensive career spanning since 1985. Under the banner of Seven Arts International Ltd., he has produced 43 films and distributed 70 films in various languages. His latest theatrical release was the Malayalam movie Geethanjali, directed by Priyadarshan.

Renowned for collaborating with superstars like Mohanlal, Mamooty, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Prithviraj, Jayaram, and others, Seven Arts International Ltd. has become a prominent production house in the Malayalam film industry, known for delivering blockbuster commercial movies. Several of Vijayakumar’s films have received regional and national awards across various categories.

Notably, he produced the film “Kuselan” featuring the superstar Rajinikanth. Additionally, he co-produced the Hindi films ChalChalaChal and line-produced BhoolBhulaiyaa, Dhol, Mere BaapPahleAap, Bum Bum Bole, Khattameetha, and KamaalDhamaalMalamal.

Many of his films have been showcased in the Indian Panorama, representing India at numerous international festivals. A trailblazer in taking Malayalam cinema to global markets, Vijayakumar hails from Kerala and completed his schooling at RVSM High School, Prayar, Oachira. He pursued his graduation at NSS College, Chenganassery, where he actively engaged in student leadership as the College Union Chairman and University union member.

Beyond his successful production career, Vijayakumar has made significant contributions to the film industry. He served as the president of the Kerala Film Chamber and held the position of vice-president in the Film Federation of India. Currently, he serves as the vice-president of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.

Furthermore, he has lent his expertise as a juror in the National Film Awards selection for 2021 and various other major film festivals.
