Dharan Kumar, an Indian music composer who primarily works in the Tamil cinema business, was born on October 8, 1983. The successful tune “Unnai Kandene” was featured in his first film, Parijatham. He considers actor and director K. Bhagyaraj to be his mentor.
On October 8, 1983, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Dharan was born. St. Johns, Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and Anna Gem schools in Chennai are where he received his education. In the movies Kaakha Kaakha, Chellame, and Anniyan, he began working as Harris Jayaraj’s assistant.
Saranya, the daughter of director K. Bhagyaraj, attended the college where Dharan once participated in music programs. In 2005, Dharan started working as a composer in the film industry. Saranya Bhagyaraj suggested Dharan as the film composer for her father’s Parijatham, Saranya’s debut film. The song “Unnai Kandaene” was included in the top 10 songs of the year, and the album went on to become a chart-topper. In its review, Sify called Dharan’s songs and background score “a major highlight” of the movie, which also found success in the box office.
His subsequent release was the soundtrack record for the indie horror film Sivi, which included fresh faces.
The album received very positive reviews and response as well, while Dharan’s background score was highly appreciated by critics and described as “haunting”, and “top-class” that gives the film “its true color”.
