Daniel Bernhardt is a Swiss actor, stuntman, martial artist, and former model who was born on August 31, 1965. His work on a number of action movies has made him well-known. His first acting role was in the lead role of the martial arts movie Bloodsport II: The Next Kumite (1996). He also starred in Bloodsport III (1997) and Bloodsport 4: The Dark Kumite (1999), two of the sequels.
He is also well-known for portraying antagonists; he costarred with Keanu Reeves in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and John Wick (2014), Sylvester Stallone in Escape Plan: The Extractors (2019), Jean-Claude Van Damme in Kill ‘Em All (2017), and Chuck Norris in The Cutter (2005). In the television series Mortal Kombat: Conquest (1998–1999), he also played the role of Siro. His work as a fight choreographer and stunt performer includes Nobody (2021) and Creed II (2018).
Hee-il Cho, a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame, taught Bernhardt Taekwondo, and the two costarred in Bloodsport II. Additionally, he trained in Kyokushin karate with Mas Oyama, a South Korean teacher.
