Chavali Venkata Arvind Krishna Sarma, born on January 5, 1985, is a prominent Indian actor known by his stage name Arvind Krishna. His primary focus has been on the Telugu film industry, and he embarked on his acting journey after completing his formal education. Arvind Krishna’s early years were spent in New Delhi before he relocated to Europe.
He furthered his education in the United States at the University of Southern California – MaST (Math and Science Technology) Highly Gifted High School. Subsequently, he pursued a BTech in Biotechnology from JNTU, Hyderabad. Beyond academics, Arvind Krishna showcased his passion for sports, excelling in varsity basketball at various levels, representing his high school, United Andhra Pradesh, India, and more recently, Telangana.
His prowess on the court earned him the coveted title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) in numerous tournaments. Following his college years, Arvind Krishna delved into the professional realm, working at the Satyam School of Leadership on the Leadership Development team. He also undertook the Global Business Leadership program with Harvard Business School and U21 Global and Satyam.
Ed Cohen, Chief Learning Officer of Satyam at the time, became his mentor and guru, influencing his path to professional excellence. Arvind Krishna’s transition into acting occurred post-education. His debut in a supporting role in the film “Alasyam Amrutham,” a romantic comedy featuring Nikhil Siddharth and Madalasa Sharma, received lackluster reviews at the box office. However, he later took on a lead role in “It’s My Love Story,” garnering a nomination for Best Debut Actor (Male)- Telugu at SIIMA Awards, 2012.
A turning point in Arvind Krishna’s career came with the movie “Rushi,” produced by Prasad Productions Pvt. Ltd. This film, marking their comeback after the legendary “Ek Duuje Ke Liye,” received the Nandi Award for Best Story in 2012. His portrayal of an arrogant, selfish medico who transforms into a selfless doctor, willing to donate his organs to save a patient, earned him critical acclaim.
In addition to his acting career, Arvind Krishna is recognized as an Indian professional basketball player. Currently, he plays for the team Hyderabad Ballers in the 3×3 basketball league (3BL), India. His multi-faceted talents extend to the realm of sports, showcasing his versatility. Arvind Krishna’s recent appearance was in the Times Internet MX Player’s original series titled “Lots of Love,” serving as MX Player’s flagship product for the Telugu and Tamil audiences.
