Actor Edward J. “Bingo” O’Malley was born in the United States on May 10, 1933, and died on June 2, 2019. Some have referred to him as “Pittsburgh’s finest actor.” O’Malley, a native of South Oakland, Pennsylvania, was the youngest of four children born to veteran firefighter Bartley J. O’Malley and Catheryn Holleran. Following in their father’s professional footsteps, the second youngest brother, Bart Jr., would die tragically at the age of 35 in 1959.
