Beena R. Chandran

Biography:

Beena R. Chandran is a Malayalam film actress and theater performer from India. For her role in the movie Thadavu, she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in 2024. She is a trained theater actress and a school teacher in addition to her performing career. Before pursuing a career in film, Beena R. Chandran was a teacher in Kerala. Her acting career began when she started playing in theater.

Thadavu (2024) was Chandran’s breakthrough in Malayalam cinema. She won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal, which was highly acclaimed for its emotional depth and sincerity. She still takes part in Keralan stage productions in addition to movies.
