Indra Kumar
Biography:
Indian filmmaker and producer Indra Kumar was born Indra Irani. In addition to appearing in several Gujarati-language movies, he received five Filmfare nominations. Thank God (2022) is his most recent production. With Dil (1990), Kumar made his directing and production debut. He went on to direct the concept-based drama films Beta (1992), Raja (1995), and Ishq (1997), all of which were among the highest-grossing Hindi films of their respective years and achieved both critical and economic success. For Beta and Raja, he was nominated for two Filmfare Awards for Best Director. With the exception of the comedy Masti (2004), which concluded with Dhamaal (2007), he followed this with a series of mediocre grossers or commercial failures that caused a setback. Kumar then produced commercially successful comedy film sequels, such as Grand Masti (2013), Double Dhamaal (2011), and Total Dhamaal (2019). The latter is still his highest-grossing release to date and is one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies.
