Ashwath Lal, a native of Venjaramoodu, shares his roots with acclaimed actor Suraj Venjaramoodu. He was born on August 26, 1994, in Parakkal, Kerala, into a humble family where financial struggles were not a concern. His parents are N. Manian and Latika. Ashwath completed his schooling in Parakkal, Venjaramoodu, and Pirappancode, followed by undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Chempazhanthi SN College and MG College in Thiruvananthapuram.
His passion for cinema developed during his college years, leading him to work as a junior artist and act in short films. While studying at MG College, his teacher Jeeva recognized his talent and encouraged him to audition for the film Abhasam (2018) in Ernakulam, marking his debut alongside actors Suraj Venjaramoodu and Nassar.
Ashwath gained further recognition with his role as Abhayan in Shankar Ramakrishnan’s Pathinettam Padi (2019), an opportunity he secured through a casting call by Nivin Pauly on Facebook. The film’s extensive audition process, acting camp, and long production period became a significant learning experience for him.
He continued his journey with roles in Aaha and Hridayam, where he played Antony Thadikaran Pranav, a close friend of the protagonist. His notable performance in Hridayam garnered praise. Additionally, Ashwath lent his voice to minor roles in various films and contributed dubbing work for the multilingual blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2.
