He gained significant recognition for his role in the 1998 film “Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi.” Hailing from Vijayawada, Venkat initially pursued a modeling career in Mumbai during his college years, even working for his father’s shirt brand. His entry into the world of cinema came when his pictures in a magazine caught the attention of Nagarjuna, who subsequently cast him in “Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi” at the behest of the film’s director, Y. V. S. Chowdary. The film’s success opened doors to further opportunities in the industry.
