Anto Joseph, born on June 1, 1972, is a prominent figure in the Malayalam film industry, known for his roles as a producer, distributor, and cinema exhibitor.
Beginning his career in the early 90s as a production associate, Anto Joseph quickly rose through the ranks, serving as a production controller for several hit Malayalam movies. In 2007, he ventured into film production, co-producing the Mammootty-starrer “Big B,” which later gained a cult following despite its lukewarm initial response.
Anto Joseph’s breakthrough came in 2009 with the film “Annan Thambi,” directed by Anwar Rasheed and featuring Mammooty in a double role. The movie emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of the year, establishing Joseph as a successful producer.
He later founded his own production company, Anto Joseph Film Company, through which he produced acclaimed films like “Malik,” “Take Off,” and “The Priest.” His productions have received critical acclaim and accolades, including multiple national and state film awards.
In addition to his production endeavors, Anto Joseph is actively involved in various industry associations, serving as the general secretary of the Kerala Film Producers Association, vice president of the Kerala Film Distributors Association, and an executive committee member of the Kerala Film Chamber.
