Anil R. is known for Life Before Wedding (2010), Oh My Friend (2011) and Netru Indru Naalai (2008).

Anil Reddy Thumma, popularly known as Anil R, was a famous Indian music director and composer who worked principally for Telugu movies and albums. He was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, and made his debut in the South Indian Film Industry as a music composer with the movie Sambhavami Yuge Yuge in 2006. Before this, he worked for a music company Michelle in Belgium and composed a private album with Mickey J Meyer. Andagatte, Alale, Paikam, Vela Vela, and Letha Thamalapaku are the hit songs sung by several artists and composed by Anil R for the film. Gamyam in 2008 was another hit film for which Anil R gave the music. The film starred famous South Indian actors like Sharwanand, Allari Naresh, and Kamalinee Mukherjee.

Anil R worked in many other films like Ninna Nedu Repu in 2008 by Laxmikanth Chenna, Kalavar King in 2010 by Suresh, and Life Before Wedding in 2010 by Praveen Sattaru, and Oh My Friend in 2011 by Venu Sriram. Megham, Sarigama, Teeraale Vadhante, Aa Rojule, and Reppapaatu Ee Kshanam are some of the hit tracks by Anil R. He died on 21 April 2011 due to a heart attack at the age of 33 in Hyderabad.
