Anandsami is an Indian actor renowned for his work in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema as well as on stage. He gained prominence in films with notable roles in “Lens” (2016) and “Odu Raja Odu” (2018).
In 2001, Anandsami featured in the Tamil adaptation of the Hindi TV series “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” appearing in ten episodes. Anandsami was part of the trio performing “Kira Kozhambu,” a play based on Ki Rajanarayanan’s folk tales, alongside Ravindra Vijay and Kalieaswari Srinivasan. He also starred in “Jannal” and “Seethaimark Seeyakkai Thool,” solo plays based on writer Sundara Ramaswamy’s short stories. Additionally, he was part of the ensemble cast of “The Water Station,” directed by Sankar Venkateswaran, which was performed at the Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival.
In cinema, Anandsami’s standout performance came in Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan’s thriller “Lens.” He also appeared in the black comedy “Odu Raja Odu” in 2018. In 2021, he portrayed a Sri Lankan Tamil rebel fighter in Amazon Prime’s “The Family Man.”
