Akshara Haasan

Biography:

Akshara Haasan was born in 1991 in Madras, Tamil Nadu, India. she is Doughter of actor Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakuris and She is the younger sister of Shruti Haasan and has acted in Hindi and Tamil movies. She debuted in the comedy drama Shamitabh (2015) and later starred in Kadaram Kondan (2019).

Haasan assisted Rahul Dholakia as an assistant director on the 2010 movie Society, which starred her mother Sarika. She also assisted on several of my AD films in Mumbai with Ram Moorthy, Uzer Khan, E. Niwas, and Ruchi Narain.

She turned down offers to appear in films as an actress while serving as an assistant director, most famously refusing to appear in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal. She also contributed to her father’s unfinished movie Sabaash Naidu, in which Shruthi Haasan played a supporting role.

Haasan debuted as an actress in Shamitabh, costarring with Dhanush and starring Amitabh Bachchan as the lead. She also costarred with Ajith Kumar in the Tamil film Vivegam.
