Akshara Gowda, originally named Harini Gowda, is an Indian actress known for her roles in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu films.
Regarding her personal life, there were rumors in April 2011 linking Akshara Gowda to Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. However, she quickly refuted these claims, stating they were products of media speculation. In 2017, she openly discussed her own journey of overcoming depression in an interview.
Akshara stepped into the film industry with her debut in the Tamil movie “Uyarthiru 420” in 2011. During the same year, she also appeared in the festival-oriented Hindi film “Chitkabrey – The Shades of Grey.” She made a special appearance in the Tamil film “Thuppakki” (2012) alongside Vijay, directed by AR Murugadoss. Her Bollywood debut came in 2013 with Priyadarshan’s film “Rangrezz.” Akshara gained recognition through her role in the Tamil film “Arrambam” (2013) starring Ajith-Vishnuvardhan. She garnered popularity for her appearance in the hit song “Stylish Thamizhachi” from the same movie. Her filmography also includes works like “Irumbu Kuthirai” (2014), “Bogan” (2017), “Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae” (2017), and “Maayavan” (2017).
