Biography:

There was a shining star in Tamil and Telugu cinema Abbas was transitioned from leading roles to supporting characters in films like Padayappa and Minnale. After leaving the industry in 2015, he found a new calling as a motivational speaker in New Zealand, inspiring others with his story and insights.

Abbas married Erum Hussain Khan in 1997. Erum launched a fashion label and designed costumes for movies, including those starring her husband. Abbas, a fan of Hindi films, started modeling in college.

He landed his debut role in “Kadhal Desam” despite not knowing Tamil and became a heartthrob. He found success in Telugu but missed out on Tamil hits due to language barriers. After acting in “Shanti Shanti Shanti”, he unexpectedly left the industry to become a motivational speaker.

After unsuccessful lead roles, Abbas became a sought-after second hero in the early 2000s, appearing in “Padayappa” with Rajinikanth and “Hey Ram” with Kamal Haasan. He also starred in critically acclaimed films like “Kandukondain Kandukondain” and commercially successful films like “Minnale” and “Aanandham”. He ventured into Hindi with “Ansh” but faced failure.

With changing trends, Abbas embraced low-budget films and anti-hero roles, appearing in “Thiruttu Payale” and “Guru En Aalu”. He briefly returned to Kannada cinema and later appeared in television serials and the film “Ramanujan”.

Losing interest in acting, he moved to New Zealand, worked menial jobs, and ultimately became a motivational speaker.
