Vinay Pathak

Biography:

Vinay Pathak is an Indian theater and film actor known for starring in films such as “Khosla Ka Ghosla,” “Bheja Fry,” “Island City,” and “Johnny Gaddaar.” He has also played supporting roles in movies like “Jism,” “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,” and “My Name is Khan.”

While studying at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Pathak took on numerous acting roles, notably in the comedies “Khosla Ka Ghosla” and “Bheja Fry.” In 1999, he appeared as Vinny in the television series “Hip Hip Hurray.” He also produced the film “Dasvidaniya,” which tells the story of an ordinary man bidding farewell before his death. Beyond his film career, Pathak has remained active in theater, participating in several successful plays. His dedication to his craft and his ability to embody a diverse range of characters have earned him respect and recognition in the Indian film industry.

Pathak was born on 27 July 1968 in Bhojpur district, Bihar, India, and spent his early childhood in Dhanbad. After graduating from Allahabad University, he moved to the United States for higher education. Vinay Pathak is married to Sonika Sahay, and they have two daughters, Vasudha and Sharinee.
