Biography:

Sudha kongara Prasad, popularly known as Sudha Prasad is an Indian film director and also a well known screenwriter who works for Telugu and Tamil films. She made her debut in the industry with her first movie “Drohi” in the year 2010, she directed one of the most famous bilingual film “Irudhi Suttru” in Tamil in the year 2016 which was the remake of the Hindi movie “Saala Khadoos “which was released in the same year for and she has won the Filmfare Award for the best Director.

EARLY CAREER

Sudha prasad  started  her debut with screenwriter for an English film “My Friend” in the year 2002 and later she worked as an Associate Director with Maniratnam for 7 years and then later on she directed the film “Drohi” in the year 2010, and then she directed one of the most inspiring movie about kickboxing in the year 2016 named “Irudhi Suttru “ with which she was awarded with 2 National Film Awards. Later in the year 2020, she scripted and directed the film named “Soorari Pottru” which was based on the story of the life of Air Deccan founder Captain GR Gopinath. The film  was nominated for the Best Foreign Film for 78th Golden Globe Awards.
