Born and raised in Jabalpur, Raghuveer Yadav graduated from the National School of Drama. In the movies Lagaan, Messi Sahab, Water, Salaam Mumbai, etc., he portrayed Mungeri Lal. One of his songs, Manghai Daayan Khaye, rose to considerable fame. Having won the Silver Picco Best Actor Award, he is the first Indian hero.
