Sathyapriya Bhavani Shankar is an Indian actress and former television host who predominantly works in Tamil and a few Telugu films. She was born on December 31, 1989. She made her acting debut in the 2017 Tamil film Meyaadha Maan, which enjoyed economic success.
Early Life:
Her first notable position was as a newsreader for the Tamil news network Puthiya Thalaimurai. She also performed in Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai on Star Vijay Television as a serial actress. She made her film debut in 2017 with Meyaadha Maan, starring with Vaibhav Reddy, for which she received a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Female Debutant.
Film Carrer:
The following year, Priya and Karthi co-starred in Kadaikutty Singam. She and S. J. Suryah co-starred in Monster in 2019. She appeared in Mafia: Chapter 1 in 2020. She also had an appearance in the Time Enna Boss online series on Amazon Prime. She appeared in three films in 2021: Oh Manapenne with Harish Kalyan; Kasada Thapara with Sundeep Kishan; and the multi-starrer Kalathil Sandhippom with Jiiva and Arulnithi.
Her next projects as of 2022 include Yaanai with Arun Vijay, Kuruthi Aattam with Atharvaa, a second Bommai with S. J. Suryah, and Hostel with Ashok Selvan. Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, her upcoming Telugu film, is scheduled for release on January 14, 2023.
