Biography:

Mohan Raja is a notable Indian filmmaker and screenwriter primarily known for his work in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. His career took off when he made his directorial debut in the Telugu film “Hanuman Junction” in 2001. He later gained prominence for remaking successful Telugu films into Tamil, starting with “Jayam” in 2003, which also marked the debut of his brother Ravi as a leading actor. This collaboration with Ravi resulted in several commercially successful films, including “M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi” (2004), “Something Something… Unakkum Enakkum” (2006), and “Santosh Subramaniam” (2008), all of which were remakes of Telugu hits.

After a period of mixed success, Mohan Raja returned with his first original script, “Thani Oruvan” in 2015, which became one of the most profitable Tamil films of the year. Throughout his career, he has worked with renowned actors and directors and has been involved in both remakes and original projects.
