Biography:

Kalyani Priyadarshan, born on April 5, 1993, is a versatile Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films. Recognized for her talent, she has earned accolades such as one Filmfare Award South and three South Indian International Movie Awards. Kalyani’s cinematic journey is shaped by her upbringing as the daughter of renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan and actress Lissy.

Commencing her career as an assistant production designer, Kalyani transitioned to the forefront of the film industry with her acting debut in the Telugu film “Hello” (2017). This marked the beginning of her successful foray into acting, earning her the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South.

Expanding her horizons, Kalyani ventured into Tamil cinema with “Hero” (2019) and Malayalam cinema with “Varane Avashyamund” (2020). Her journey into the film industry began in 2013 when she worked as an assistant production designer in the Hindi film “Krrish 3” (2013). Subsequently, she contributed as an assistant art director in the Tamil film “Iru Mugan” (2016). Kalyani’s acting debut in “Hello” received positive responses, with critics praising her chemistry with co-star Akhil Akkineni.

In 2019, she appeared in three films, “Chitralahari,” “Ranarangam,” and “Hero,” showcasing her versatility across languages. Her debut in Malayalam cinema with “Varane Avashyamund” garnered positive reviews, establishing her as a promising talent.
