Biography:

Goparaju Ramana is a versatile artist active in the realms of Telugu stage, film, and television. He’s a notable figure in Tamil cinema as well, and he currently contributes to Gemini TV’s daily serial “Agni Poolu.” In 2015, he was honored with the Sutti Veerabhadra Rao Memorial Award, recognizing his outstanding portrayal of Sankar Rao in the acclaimed stage production “Nalugu Godala Madhya,” a play authored by his son, Goparaju Vijay.

Ramana is also a recognized film actor, with a significant presence in Telugu cinema. In 2001, he featured in the film “Maa Aayana Sundarayya,” starring Sri Hari and Deepti. He portrayed the character of Subramaniam in the 2004 National Award-winning Telugu film “Grahanam,” directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti, who also helmed “Mayabazaar” in 2006, in which Ramana also played a role. During the same period, he was cast in the Telugu film “Sundarini Tondarekkuva.” He is additionally part of the Telugu comedy “Ashta Chamma,” which also saw direction by Mohan Krishna Indraganti in 2008.
