Biography:

Ajay BhupathiRaju, also known as Ajay Narasimha Naga BhupathiRaju, is an Indian film director primarily active in Telugu cinema. He marked his directorial debut with the film RX 100, which garnered positive acclaim. In 2019, he received the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Director (Telugu). Following this success, his second directorial venture was Mahasamudram, featuring Sharwanand and Siddharth.

BhupathiRaju initiated his career as an associate to director/screenwriter Ramesh Varma and Veeru Potla. His collaboration with Ram Gopal Verma included roles as an executive director in Vangaveeti, chief co-director in Killing Veerappan, and associate director in films like Attack and Veera. Additionally, he served as an associate director in the film Doosukeltha alongside Veeru Potla. BhupathiRaju’s directorial debut, RX 100, has not only earned acclaim but is also slated for a Hindi remake. His subsequent film, Mahasamudram, featured Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Anu Emmanuel.

The director’s upcoming project, Mangalavaaram, is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2023. Personally, BhupathiRaju married his childhood sweetheart, Sirisha, on August 25, 2018, fulfilling a promise made in 2016 to her parents that he would achieve a successful debut in his career.
