Women are no longer side-lined : Shriya

Shriya Saran has been working for past 18 years in the Industry as a lead actress and she is slowly moving into a space where she finds interesting work and characters more often than not.

She talked about her career and also her next releases. She said, “I am happy that my career is in a different phase now. I don’t want to share anything about my personal life, hence, I won’t.

But as a woman in a male dominated Industry, I am happy and observant about the changes, today. Five years ago women had to fight for make-up artists and even someone used to decide the time length they should take for make-up.

Now, that is not the case. I am happy that women are no longer sidelined. I am working in a movie directed by a woman for the first time in Telugu. That is even more exciting. My character in Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu will be surprising and I am really excited,” said Shriya Saran.
