Seven years have passed since the release of the sports-drama movie “Sultan,” in which Salman Khan stars. Singer Papon talks about the song “Bulleya” in the movie.
Recently, the sports-drama movie “Sultan,” starring Salman Khan, turned seven years old. The movie had fantastic music, which contributed to how well it connected with the audience as a whole.
The singer of the song “Bulleya” from the movie, Papon, has revealed that the song’s original form was very different from the finished product.
Celebrating seven years of the song, Papon said, “I am truly grateful for the love and support that Bulleya has received over the past years. I would like to mention Vishal Shekhar, who composed the track and Irshad Kamil, who wrote the beautiful lyrics. It was interesting how they approached the song for me.”
Papon revealed that the song’s composers had completely different views of the tune. He remembered that Vishal and Shekhar had stopped to talk to him as he was singing the song.
“They said, ‘Bro, let’s just think about it.’ They were considering the song in a different way, perhaps a higher pitch. When they returned to me and I asked if they are okay? Is this working?’ They said, ‘This is sounding like gold,’ and I vividly remember Vishal’s words. This song holds a special place in all our lives wherever we go now, and I am really happy to be the voice behind this song,” Papon added.
Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma played the main characters in Ali Abbas Zafar’s sports drama Sultan.
The melodic Sufi and modern music fusion “Bulleya” expertly combines traditional sounds with contemporary arrangements.
