Directed by Tammareddy Bharadwaja and starring Sumanth and Laya, Ramma Chilakamma is a 2001 Telugu-language romantic drama The 2000 Tamil film Ennamma Kannu is being remade as Ramma Chilakamma. Released on July 13, 2001, the movie was a box office bust despite its postponement.
Venkat was involved in the planning of another movie with the same name. The title was used again for this movie by Tammareddy Bharadwaja. The Choodalani Vundi (1998) song serves as the inspiration for the title. Ennamma Kannu, a 2000 Tamil film, is the basis for the current production. Playing a little role in the movie, Akash made his Telugu debut.
Plot
Kasi is an orphan who turns into a womaniser and has no aim in life. When he is forced to shelter his best friend’s fiancee in his absence, he undergoes a change of heart and reforms himself.
