Naani

Story:

2004 saw the release of the science fiction romantic comedy Naani in the Indian language of Telugu. Mahesh Babu and Ameesha Patel are the stars, and it was directed by S. J. Surya. A. R. Rahman created the music for the bilingual movie, which was also simultaneously shot in Tamil as New with a slightly different cast. The movie, which cost 12 crores to produce, debuted on May 14, 2004. The movie did okay at the box office.

Plot:
Eight-year-old Naani is a mischievous youngster who constantly bothers his mother. His mother chastises him for his actions, such when he swallows toothpaste or uses the bathroom in bed. One day Naani trips and falls on the road; a young woman comes to his aid. In the absence of their parents, Naani’s older brother wants to watch a movie with his friends. Naani begs to go, but his brother forbids it. Naani turns off the electricity out of anger, causing a short circuit at home. His wife yells at him and scolds him for continuing with just one child, according to Naani. Naani is hurt by this and leaves his house to plunge into a river.

The elderly man identifies himself as a researcher with a personal lab. He demands Naani’s assistance in his studies. The scientist uses his expertise to change Naani into a young guy once she gives her consent. Naani begins to behave physically like a young man, but his mind is still that of a child. He avoids seeing his family. His young companion is the only person besides the scientist who is aware of the truth. In a park, Naani encounters Priya, a girl who once picked him up after he collapsed. After assisting with her eye cleaning and grinning at her, Naani walks away. The girl searches for him because she is drawn to him.
