“Love Today,” a 2022 Tamil romantic comedy-drama, stands as Pradeep Ranganathan’s second directorial endeavor after the success of “Comali.” Produced by Kalapathi S. Aghoram under AGS Entertainment, with Archana Kalpathi as the creative producer, the film shines with a stellar ensemble cast and a promising storyline. The project, initially known as AGS 22, was revealed as Pradeep Ranganathan’s adaptation of his short film, “App(a) Lock,” following the success of “Comali.” The title, “Love Today,” paying homage to the 1997 film of the same name, also marked Ranganathan’s foray into a leading role as an actor. The unveiling of the film’s first look poster on July 4, 2022, sparked anticipation among eager audiences.

The casting process showcased Ivana, recognized for her roles in “Naachiyaar” (2018) and “Hero” (2019), as the female lead. Yogi Babu, who shared success with Ranganathan in “Comali,” signed on for a supporting role. Additionally, the inclusion of Raveena Ravi, seasoned actors Sathyaraj and Radhika Sarathkumar added depth and anticipation for the film.

The shooting for “Love Today” commenced in December 2021, culminating in its completion by July 22, 2022. The efficient production schedule paved the way for a seamless filming process, ensuring the project’s timely completion.
