Haunted – 3D

Story:

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Haunted – 3D is a 2011 supernatural horror movie in Hindi that stars Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Tia Bajpai, Achint Kaur, and Arif Zakaria. It’s the first stereoscopic 3D horror movie from India.

On February 7, 2011, the film’s trailer and first look were made public. Critics gave the movie mixed reviews when it was released on May 6, 2011. It turned out to be a financial success.  On August 3, 2011, the 3D Blu-ray was made available.

After the caretaker passes away, Rehan discovers that Glen Manor is haunted when he travels to Shimla to get it ready for sale. Though first dubious, he experiences paranormal activity and comes upon a letter from Meera Sabharwal, who discloses that she was sexually assaulted by her piano instructor, Iyer, in 1936 and that her spirit is still imprisoned by Iyer’s ghost. Mrs. Stephens, the psychic Rehan brings, cautions him, but he persists and is assaulted by Iyer’s ghost. Rehan is transported back in time to 1936 by a ragpicker the following morning. As before, he makes friends with Meera and tries to shield her from Iyer, but Meera kills Iyer.

Rehan, who is hurt, cautions Meera about potential threats. To lift the curse, they turn to a Sufi Baba for assistance.Margaret is taken over by Iyer’s soul during the trip, but Rehan and Meera make it to the Dargah. They are led to a well by the Sufi Baba that has the power to lift Iyer’s curse. Iyer’s soul is vanquished when Rehan successfully tosses Meera’s jewellery into the well, but he unintentionally goes back to 2011. Glen Manor is no longer haunted, as Rehan discovers a letter from Meera thanking him for rescuing her and revealing that she led a happy life.
