TheatreEk Main Aur Ekk Tu is a Hindi romantic comedy film directed and co-written by Shakun Batra in his directorial debut, produced by Karan Johar and Hiroo Yash Johar under Dharma Productions, along with Ronnie Screwvala of UTV Motion Pictures. The film stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, with supporting roles played by Ratna Pathak Shah, Boman Irani, and Ram Kapoor. The film’s music was composed by Clinton Cerejo and Amit Trivedi, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
The story revolves around Rahul Kapoor, an uptight architect in Las Vegas, Nevada, who loses his job and, after a wild night, accidentally marries a free-spirited hairstylist named Riana Braganza. Although they decide to annul the marriage, Rahul develops a one-sided attraction to Riana, complicating their budding friendship.
Initially set for a fall 2011 release, “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu” was eventually released on February 10, 2012. It received positive reviews, particularly for the performances of Kapoor and Khan, and was a moderate commercial success.
