Plot
A local bank is taken over at gunpoint by two masked bandits who carry out a take-over style armed bank robbery, taking ₹2 crore (US$250,000) from the establishment. But when the bank robbers talk about whether to give the money to their boss or take off with it, they get into a disagreement after making their getaway. Blank at each other, they both have a gunpoint.
In order to help his sister pursue her dream of becoming a doctor, Chandu is a small-time, kind-hearted con artist. They collaborate with CI Richard, a dishonest police officer, who expects a cut of everything they do in exchange for keeping them under the radar of the authorities.
Chandu is setting up the finances for his sister’s education so she can pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.
One day, while attending the same college as his sister, Chandu runs into Meera, another student. They become friends first, and then they fall in love. Chandu’s father has a heart condition, is incarcerated, has a heart attack, and needs to visit the hospital. Chandu is required to pay 500,000 for the procedure. The operation is successful because he has a plan and takes the money from a drug dealer.
Richard, who is wary of Chandu, notices that he is conniving the drug dealer during their exchange. Chandu, however, deceives Richard into believing that he has not been working lately. Nevertheless, Richard remains dubious and chooses to closely monitor him. Chandu discovers that the minister’s PA can use his father’s medical condition as a special defense to get his father released from prison.
Chandu schedules a meeting with the PA at a recently constructed apartment building where the PA has purchased a unit. When Chandu arrives to meet the PA, he inadvertently enters the apartment next door where the robbers are holding guns and exchanging gunfire. Chandu pilfers the cash.
On the other hand, as Chandu boards an autorickshaw to leave, two men observe him.
The two men arrived at the apartment to retrieve the money that had been taken from the robbers by their group. They emerge onto the road as soon as they notice the dead bodies inside the apartment, right before Chandu drives off in an autorickshaw. They take down the car’s registration number, but sadly, the traffic causes them to lose sight of it. Then, using the same car, Chandu drives to his sister’s college and then heads to the hospital where his father is receiving treatment. Later, Chandu tells Meera about his past.
Past: Chandu and his sister were raised by their father, a taxi driver, while their mother was ill. A man hires him to drive him to a distant village so he can meet someone. The father brings his children along, who doze off in the backseat. In the trunk of the taxi, the passenger places money. After arriving at his destination, the traveler leaves to meet Manikyam, a friend.
But after buying off the police, Manikyam murders the passenger and places the blame on Chandu’s father. After removing the cash from Chandu’s father’s vehicle, the police take him into custody. After Chandu’s mother passes away, he and his sister are placed in an orphanage, but they manage to escape. He befriends a man there, and the two of them start a gang of thieves and commit small-time robberies and con jobs.
Present: Chandu and his sister are found by Manikyam, who turns out to be the bank robbers’ boss. Manikyam kidnaps Chandu’s father and sister after learning that Chandu has the money and demands the two crores, which Chandu no longer has. Chandu devises a scam to obtain the funds. Actor Bullet Babu is the target of Chandu and Meera. After spending nearly all of his money on a movie, Bullet Babu—a has-been in desperate need of a hit—is informed that he still needs to contribute more funds.
Another serious weakness he has is that he always ends up developing a crush on attractive girls. With the false claim that he is the only known claimant and that his great-grandparents owned land valued at 40 or 500 million, Chandu uses deception to get Meera to meet with him. Chandu will be required to pay ₹4 crore (US$500,000) as a processing fee, though. Bullet Babu thinks so. Richard, on the other hand, has been tracking Chandu and learns that he has a new protégé named Meera.
He visits her home and threatens to use her as a pawn in a fictitious case. In a panic, Meera informs him of all the job details and that the land registration will take place in Gandipet. Richard informs Bullet Babu that he is being tricked when they first meet. He instructs him to take ₹4 crore (US$500,000) so Richard can apprehend Chandu without a trace. He gives Bullet Babu ₹4 crore (US$500,000) out of his own pocket to make this happen. wallets.
Bullet Babu accepts and proceeds with registering. Chandu and his friends empty the money bag and tuck it into their pockets as Bullet Babu enters the office, threatening to kill him. After they steal the money in a car, Richard and Chandu engage in a car chase in which Chandu is encircled. Richard arranges for his supervisor to observe the actions. He gives him all of the case’s specifics. The police discover that Chandu is impoverished after searching him and his buddies. Bullet Babu then says Richard can testify on his behalf.
He is startled, though, when Bullet Babu admits in court that he has never met Richard and has no idea what he is talking about. Subsequently, Richard finds out from Bullet Babu that he was part of the scam from the start and that Richard was the victim of it. He and Chandu would split the money equally according to their agreement. When Richard threatens to use Meera as a pawn in a fabricated case, it is also revealed that Meera took a video. Due to this video, Richard is suspended.
When Chandu finally gets to see Manikyam, he manages to get him arrested by police, who subsequently turn out to be actors Chandu hired to carry out the arrest. Chandu erects a fictitious courtroom and police station and coerces Manikyam into confessing to his crimes. After convincing Manikyam that confessing to his crimes is the only way to receive a reduced sentence and avoid the death penalty, Manikyam is eventually brought before a real court.
In the real court, Manikyam confesses to all of his crimes and is given a prison sentence because he still believes that he was detained and tried by actual police officers and attorneys the last time. After reconciling with Meera, Chandu, his father, and sister depart the court.
