Rahul Singh is an Indian dramatist, screenwriter, and actor. His roles in television shows like 24: India (2014) and films like Zubeidaa (2001), Khiladi 786 (2012), Kaante (2002), Stanley ka Dabba (2011), The Ghazi Attack (2017), and Delhi Belly (2011) are well-known. He has appeared in Punjabi, Telegu, and Bollywood-Hindi films, portraying a wide variety of characters.
He is the son of Rajya Sabha member and poet Prabha Thakur. His ancestors were heavily involved in the fight for freedom. Singh completed his education at St. Xavier’s College and Mayo College in Ajmer. His early career goals were to play sports or become a police officer. whilst attending college. He was a member of an acting troupe that performed for several social organizations and wrote over fifty street plays. Singh studied acting abroad at the British Film Institute and the Royal Academy of Drama in London.
Singh expressed the delight of scriptwriting and its connection to his prior experience in street theater, while also acknowledging that his mother’s poetry had a genetic and inspirational influence on him as a writer. Along with Judy Dench and Akshay Kumar, he views Madhur Bhandarkar as a buddy and mentor.
Rahul said he thinks it’s important to develop his career gradually and that his acting abilities have been noticed, which has led to additional opportunities. Singh is a versatile actor who selects roles according to the screenplay and significance of the character.
