Raayan

Story:

Dhanush is an Indian filmmaker who is now working on his second feature film, an action thriller in the Tamil language called Raayan. Kalanithi Maran produces the movie under Sun Pictures. In the lead part, Dhanush is accompanied by an ensemble cast that includes Saravanan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, S. J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Kalidas Jayaram. In the movie, a young guy named Raayan is followed as he navigates the criminal underworld while looking for those responsible for his family’s killings.

Given that it is Dhanush’s 50th feature film as the lead actor, the movie was first formally announced in January 2023 under the provisional title D50. The actual title was then revealed in February 2024. In July 2023, principal photography got underway. It was mostly filmed across several legs, mostly in Chennai and Karaikudi, and it was finished by mid-December 2023.

A. R. Rahman wrote the film’s soundtrack, Om Prakash handled the photography, and Prasanna GK handled the editing. On June 13, 2024, Raayan is set for global distribution in theaters. A young guy trains to take revenge for the killings of his family after they are slaughtered. His search for the guilty takes him through the criminal underbelly.
