TheatrePulkit is the director of the upcoming Indian Hindi-language gangster action movie Maalik, which is also produced by Jay Shewakramani and Kumar Taurani. Rajkummar Rao played the title character in the movie, which also starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, and Medha Shankr. On July 11, 2025, the movie is expected to be released in theaters.
According to sources on July 4, 2024, filming would start in September 2024, with Varanasi and Lucknow serving as the sites. Rajkummar Rao allegedly began training on developing a more muscular physique in order to get ready for the physically demanding part. The muhurat shot was held at Pathakpur village on August 25, 2024. Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the film’s lyrics, while Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya composed the music. The action scenes were designed by Vikram Dahiya. On August 31, 2024, his 40th birthday, Rajkummar Rao shared a poster for the movie, formally announcing it.
