Story:

Laila Majnu, an Indian Hindi-language romantic film, stars Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri. Directed by Sajid Ali, the film is presented by Imtiaz Ali and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and Preety Ali. Hitesh Sonik crafted the film’s background score, while Niladri Kumar, Joi Barua, and Alif composed the songs, featuring lyrics by Irshad Kamil, Mehmood Gaami, and Mohammad Muneem.

The narrative centers on two lovers, Qais and Laila, hailing from Kashmir, who face familial opposition preventing their union. Fate intervenes, leading Laila to marry another man while Qais relocates to London.

The film premiered theatrically on September 7, 2018, receiving a tepid response and falling short commercially at the box office. However, in subsequent years, it garnered positive reviews for its storyline, performances by the cast, and its soundtrack, eventually achieving critical acclaim following its digital release, leading some platforms to label it as a cult classic.
