Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Devarakonda are the movie’s lead actors, and Subbaraju, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Nagendra Babu are featured in supporting parts.
The film, which was released on August 15 and had a budget of 5 crore, made 132 crore in revenue. Despite criticism that it was a “tried and tested story,” the film’s directing, acting, and production qualities were praised.
PLOT:
Nithya’s automobile breaks down around midnight. She asks bypasser Vijay Govind for assistance, but he puts a catch that he has to obtain a bottle of booze. He begins to tell his story.
A few weeks ago: Vijay, a traditional instructor, fell in love with Geetha after seeing her at a temple. When he learns that his sister Sireesha’s marriage is prearranged, he takes a bus for Kakinada, where he was born and raised. He understands that Geetha is his fellow traveler.
Vijay makes Geetha his buddy and then pursues her on his friend’s advice. When he attempts to snap a photo with her while she is dozing, the driver abruptly pulls the brakes, causing Vijay to inadvertently kiss Geetha. When Geetha awakens, she contacts her brother Phaneendra for assistance because she feels molested. Vijay is able to leap off of the bus and go before Phaneendra can deal with him after Geetha rejects his excuses. When Vijay finds out that Phaneendra is the bridegroom during Sirisha’s engagement, he is surprised. Geetha tells Vijay to modify his ways while acting as though she has never met him since she does not want to hurt Sireesha for her brother’s error.
When Geetha’s grandfather had a stroke, her grandma pushes for a quick wedding so he doesn’t pass away. The family enthusiastically supports Phaneendra’s suggestion of Vijay as the bridegroom. Vijay approaches Geetha in private and informs her that he can’t wed her because he fears that their disagreements would last a lifetime and he doesn’t want to be just Geetha’s “option.” Geetha is devastated. Furious, Geetha’s grandma sets up her daughter’s nuptials with a conventional Kishore.
Vijay knows he can’t keep fooling his brother-in-law and comes clean when he finds out Phaneendra offered him to Geetha as a groom. Geetha had already told him the truth, according to Phaneendra. He claims to Vijay that Geetha fell in love with him after discovering his true nature and that Vijay was never merely an option to her. When Vijay sees his error, he attempts to persuade Geetha to call off the wedding but is unsuccessful.
After finishing his narration, Vijay informs Nithya that Geetha’s wedding is approaching and he is unsure of what to do. He gets the notion from Nithya to go to the dias, grovel at Phaneendra’s feet, and beg him to marry Geetha to him. He then decides to hold out until he gets his way. The scheme succeeds. Geetha kisses Vijay as they go home in the bus, bringing the film to a close.
