Plot
In a small town, Puliraju leads a boisterous life. He meets Jennifer, who is a new teacher in that town. He gets slapped and chastised by Suhasini for mistreating his mother. Rather than seeking retribution from her, Puliraju finds himself drawn to her and enrolls as her pupil.
Gradually, Puliraju changes in appearance and demeanor, eventually departing from his previous existence. They get drawn to one another over a few reels, but none of them says anything about it. His mother fetches his maradalu Gangamma from his village and seeks to marry him off after becoming suspicious of the changes in his behavior.
Jennifer’s father arranges for her to get married to Rajasekhar, a family acquaintance, at the same time. As he battles internal transformation, Puliraju is attacked by his former foes and admitted to the hospital. When Jennifer gets to the hospital, she realizes how much he loves her, and in the end, they come together.
