Vijay Yesudas

Biography:

Vijay Yesudas, born on March 23, 1979, is an accomplished Indian playback singer and actor, recognized for his contribution to the South Indian film industry across Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi cinema. His father, the renowned singer K. J. Yesudas, undoubtedly influenced his musical journey.

Debuting in the Malayalam film “Millennium Stars” (2000) with music composed by Vidyasagar, Vijay has since lent his voice to over 1000 film songs. He’s garnered acclaim, securing three Kerala State Film Awards for Best Singer, notably for tracks like “Kolakkuzhal Vili Ketto” in Nivedyam (2007), “Akaleyo Nee” in Grandmaster, “Mazhakondu Mathram” in Spirit (2012), and “Poomuthole” in Joseph (2018). His musical prowess has earned him five Filmfare Awards for Best Singer and four SIIMA Awards for Best Male Playback Singer.

Beyond music, Vijay ventured into acting, playing the antagonist in the Tamil film “Maari” (2015) and taking on the lead role in “Padaiveeran” (2018).
