Vijay Vasanth, born Vijayakumar Vasanthakumar on May 20, 1983, is a prominent Indian politician who serves as a Member of Parliament representing the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha constituency. His political journey gained momentum when he successfully contested and won the by-election held for the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat in May 2021. In addition to his political career, Vijay Vasanth is also recognized for his contributions to the Tamil film industry as an actor. He is the son of the late politician and entrepreneur H. Vasanthakumar and currently holds the position of Managing Director at Vasanth & Co, balancing his business responsibilities with his political commitments.
