Indian singer and songwriter Vaibhav Shrivastava, better known by his stage name Vayu, has been in the business for more than a decade. In 2018, he became an exclusive artist with Sony Music India.
Vayu grew up in small towns like Singrauli and Rewa after being born in Madhya Pradesh. He was lovingly referred to as Vayu by his mother, and the moniker stuck. After he graduated from school, his parents relocated to Bhopal.
Vayu relocated to Pune to pursue a master’s degree in mass communication at the Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC) after first studying graphic design in Indore.
