Suseenthiran is a Tamil-language film screenwriter and director from India. His first film as a filmmaker, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009), helped him become well-known.
Suseenthiran was always “crazy about films” like his father and his uncle, who had made a film years before that was never released. Suseenthiran comes originally from a little town called Amarapoondi in Palani, Dindigul. He was certain that he would become a filmmaker someday, despite the fact that his family did not want him to direct movies and “waste” his life on them. When he was 18 years old, he moved to Chennai to pursue his goal. It took him 12 years to complete his debut film.
Before becoming an independent director, Suseenthiran served as an assistant to well-known directors like S. D. Sabha and Ezhil.
Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, his first project, was released in 2009 to rousing acclaim. Susindran claims that the movie is based on true events since his father played kabaddi and he learned about the taunts and suffering the player endured, which Susindran intended to depict in a movie. He was also rumored to have drawn inspiration from the cricket-based Bollywood hit Lagaan from 2001.
After his first movie was a success, he began work on his next picture, Naan Mahaan Alla (2010).
