Suresh Vishwakarma

Biography:

Suresh Vishwakarma, an Indian actor renowned for his contributions to Marathi cinema, commenced his acting journey by taking on lead roles in local Marathi folk dramas. Despite facing poverty and a constrained upbringing, he remained undeterred in his aspirations for a successful career in cinema. Determined to carve a niche for himself in the Indian film industry, he ventured to Mumbai, its cinematic hub.

In Mumbai, Suresh secured various roles in Marathi films such as ‘Pratidav (1999)’, ‘MahimaKhandobacha (2008)’, ‘DillitMujra (2009), and ‘GallitGondhal.’ Additionally, he served as an Assistant Art Director for the 2006 Hindi movie ‘Ankahee.’ However, it was his portrayal of the antagonist, Tatya, in NagrajManjule’s Marathi film, ‘Sairat (2016)’, that catapulted him to fame.

Further enriching his cinematic repertoire, Suresh was also featured in GajendraAhire’s acclaimed film, ‘The Silence,’ which garnered international recognition from critics. Continuing his cinematic journey, he embarked on successive roles in dramas like ‘Tula Pan Bashing Bhandhaychay (2018)’ and ‘Ibhrat (2020)’.
