Suresh Chakravarthy, popularly known as Chakravarthy, is a multifaceted Indian personality recognized as a director, screenwriter, television host, and restaurant owner.
He gained prominence through his appearance in the fourth episode of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. Chakraborty also manages a YouTube channel named Sax Kitchen. His journey began after enduring the loss of both parents, with his schooling at St. Paddy’s Anglo Indian High School, Chennai, and further education at Chennai University.
Following graduation, Chakravarthy served as a Controller at M Studio and later worked as a manager for renowned actress Amala Akkineni and actor Karthik. His career path led him to become the Senior Manager of Sun Television. Taking a hiatus due to his son’s cancer diagnosis, he relocated to Australia with his family for 17 years before returning to Chennai.
Chakravarthy made his acting debut in the 1989 Telugu film “Prema” and entered Tamil cinema with “Alagan” in 1991. Apart from acting, he contributed to Telugu films by writing dialogues, notably for “Siva.”
He directed successful shows on Sun TV, including “Pepsi Your Choice” and also portrayed a female character in the serial “Mekhel Orutthi.” Notably, he assisted Kamal Haasan in setting up the shooting location for “Nala Damayanthi.” In 2020, Chakraborty re-entered the limelight by participating in the fourth season of Bigg Boss Tamil.
