Indian actress Supriya Pilgaonkar (née Sabnis) has acted in a number of Marathi and Hindi motion pictures and television shows. She debuted as Chameli in the smash blockbuster movie Navri Mile Navryala, directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar, with whom she is married. She emerged victorious in Nach Baliye 1.
In Mumbai, India, Pilgaonkar was born as Supriya Sabnis into a Maharashtrian family. While she was filming Navri Mile Navryala, a Marathi film that Sachin Pilgaonkar was directing, she met her husband. Shriya Pilgaonkar is their daughter, and they were married in 1985 when she was eighteen.
Among the television serials in which Pilgaonkar has appeared are Tu Tu Main Main, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Genda Phool Sasural.
Kadvee Khattee Meethi and Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi. She portrayed the daughter-in-law in Tu Tu Main Main, a humorous examination of the affections and differences between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Her new character in the sequel, Kadvee Khattee Meethi, was that of a mother-in-law. She took part in the comedy program Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala in 2011.
She has also made a well-known contribution to Marathi cinema. She costarred with her husband Sachin Pilgaonkar in several critically acclaimed films, including Navri Mile Navryala, Majha Pati Karodpati, Ashi Hi Banwa Banvi, and Aaytya Gharat Gharoba.
In addition, Pilgaonkar has acted in a few films, including Barsaat, Aetbaar, Deewane Huye Paagal, and Awara Paagal Deewana.
Pilgaonkar and Sachin won the first season of Nach Baliye, the dancing competition, jointly.
