Biography:

Sumanth Ashwin, an acclaimed Indian actor in Telugu cinema, was born into the world of cinema, being the son of renowned film producer and director M. S. Raju. His cinematic journey commenced in 2012 with the film “Tuneega Tuneega,” directed by his father, where his stellar performance earned him the CineMAA Award for Best Male Debut.

Despite the initial box-office outcome of “Tuneega Tuneega,” Sumanth Ashwin persevered, showcasing his talent in subsequent films. His second venture, directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti, proved to be a success, receiving nominations at the International Indian Film Festival in South Africa.

The turning point in Ashwin’s career came with the film “Lovers,” co-produced by director Maruthi, marking his commercial breakthrough. Subsequently, “Chakkiligintha,” directed by Vema Reddy and associated with director Sukumar, added to his diverse filmography.

In the romantic entertainer “Kerintha” (2015), directed by Sai Kiran Adivi and produced by Dil Raju, Sumanth Ashwin portrayed the role of a college-goer, showcasing his versatility. Another notable addition to his filmography is “Columbus” (2015), directed by R. Samala, where he shared the screen with Seerat Kapoor and Mishti Chakraborty.

Beyond the glitz of the film industry, Sumanth Ashwin embarked on a personal journey, tying the knot with Deepika, a research scientist, in 2021.
