Indian cinematographer and director Sujith Vaassudev primarily directs Malayalam films. He has also contributed to a number of Telugu and Tamil movies. His roles in Memories (2013), 7th Day (2014), Drishyam (2014), and Lucifer (2019) among his most well-known works. In 2013, the Kerala State Film Award for Best Cinematographer went to him.
began working as a camera assistant at Trivandrum’s Sangeetha Vision studio. From then on, he helped other cameramen and progressively increased his expertise of photography. In 1998, he began producing his own independent television series. He has worked on over a thousand television shows for different Malayalam channels. He worked as a cinematographer for Raja Rathinam for a period. In the 2010 Malayalam movie Chekavar, Sujith made his screen debut. Drishyam, 7th Day, Memories, Ayaal, and Anarkali are some of his greatest works.
For the films Ayaal and Memories, Sujith Vaassudev took home the Best Cinematography Kerala State Film Award in 2013.
He made his directing debut in 2016 with the Vedhika and Prithviraj Sukumaran film James & Alice.
Sujith married actress Manju Pillai on 23 December 2000. The couple has a daughter Daya Sujith.
